Installing brushed aluminum backsplash will provide you with an easy to clean surface so you won’t need to spend a lot of time cleaning off splashes from your wall. Here are several ways to install brushed aluminum backsplash for your kitchen. Wash off the surface of the wall where you are going to install the brushed aluminum backsplash. Use a solution of degreasing soap and warm water to ensure that the surface is as clean as possible. Measure the area that you are going to cover with the backsplash. Set the aluminum backsplash panel or brushed aluminum tiles on a flat work space, with the back or dull side facing you. Run a bead of polyurethane construction adhesive, 1 inch away from the edge, around the entire perimeter of the backsplash or aluminum tiles. The bead should be 1/4 inch in diameter. Run a bead of construction adhesive diagonally across the back of the backsplash, from the top left corner down to the bottom right corner and from the bottom left corner up to the top right corner to make an X-shape.
Tilt the brushed aluminum backsplash onto the wall, starting from the right side. Hold the left side up as you press the backsplash or tile into the wall with your other hand. Press all along the surface of the backsplash or tile as you go and slowly place the left edge of the backsplash or tile against the wall. Press the backsplash or tile to the wall, starting from the center and moving out to the sides to eliminate any air pockets and spread the adhesive evenly on the wall. Continue adding panels or tiles in the same manner until you have covered the entire backsplash area on the wall.
