Small Kitchen Storage
Not everyone is blessed with a spacious and high-tech kitchen, but don’t let that stop you from pursuing your inner cook. A small kitchen offers some immediate advantages: It takes you less time to clean up, and working your way around is highly efficient. To be fully efficient, however, your small kitchen needs some good storage. Here are several ideas of small kitchen storage for you. When strategically placed, a pot rack can be as decorative as it is useful. Hang a sturdy rack on the wall above your cooktop to free up kitchen cabinet space. You can hang a rack from the ceiling above the island as another option. Display different-size sauce and frying pans from the rack’s hooks so that you can easily reach them when cooking. Depending on how many pots and pans you have, you can buy racks featuring up to 12 or more hooks. You can also find racks with gold, silver or wrought iron finishes, depending on your kitchen decor style.
Another idea of small kitchen storage is the rolling cart. Rolling carts usually have both shelves and hooks and are very versatile. Hang pots off the hooks and store cookbooks or appliances on the shelves. Most rolling carts are also a good height for an extra food preparation area, such as a chopping station.
